About us
Regent College is a medium-sized college located close to Leicester City Centre. The college is one of three sixth form colleges in Leicester and it works in partnership with the closely located Wyggeston & Queen Elizabeth 1 Sixth Form College. Regent College is proud to be inclusive and boasts a multicultural and diverse student population. The size of the college enables tutors and support staff to nurture individual students and ensure their journey at the college is a fulfilling, life-enhancing, learning experience.
Regent is a 'Good' college where teachers are motivational and have high expectations (Ofsted 2013)
Ofsted visited the college to carry out a routine full inspection in March 2013 and concluded that Regent is a 'Good' college, where inspectors report that "teachers are motivational and have high expecations of their students".
"We are delighted that the inspectors have recognised the many strengths of the college, especially in terms of the positive experience our learners have and the good quality of teaching an learning. Most pleasing is that the inspectors have recognised how focussed we are on delivering success for each and every student” Paul Wilson (Principal).
Lead inspector Tony Noonan HMI commented in his report that “The overall quality of teaching and learning is good and a number of lessons observed had outstanding features”
Careers Convention a huge success

April 2013
Regent College held its joint annual Careers Convention with QE college in April 2013.
25 Exhibitors attended representing careers areas such as Apprenticeships, Engineering, Finance, Health and Gap years opportunities, and more.
Entrepreneurs of the Future
May 2013
The University of Leicester visited Regent College this term to put Business students through their paces.
Twelve level 3 diploma students took part in the Dragon’s Den style competition: Entrepreneurs of the Future Business Ideas.
Leicester City Colleges Varsity
April 2013
On Wednesday the 17th of April 2013 the four Leicester City Colleges; QE, Regent, Gateway and Leicester College, met at the University of Leicester Sports Centre to take part in Varsity, a multi-sports day event with tournaments in men’s and women’s 5 aside football, men’s basketball, men’s and women’s badminton, men’s cricket and mixed volleyball.
Anthony Nolan Trust
The Anthony Nolan Trust saves the lives of people with blood cancer and for this they need donors. Regent College, supported by the Rik Basra Leukaemia Campaign, hosted an event on Friday 26th April and achieved the highest registration of new donors at a single day event. An amazing 417 registered!
Regent Students Test Their Fears

April 2013
Kajal Grant, Ryan Bray, Omar Butt and Karl Hastings, four of Regent College’s Sports Ambassadors, were selected by Alice Kempski, the College Sport Maker, to attend the 2013 Cooperative StreetGames Young Volunteers (CSYV) residential trip this Easter holidays.
