Our tutorial and student support systems are designed to ensure you settle well into college, are successful as a student and feel supported in your college and wider life at all times. You will have a personal tutor and Senior Tutor to support you directly. We negotiate achievable goals and targets with you, and you work with your personal tutor who will support and monitor you throughout your time at the college. There are many key moments of decision during your time at college and we seek to support you in these and we encourage the involvement of those who support you at home.
The Learning Resource Centre
The Learning Resource Centre is an attractive, modern environment for independent study. You will have access to computers linked to a high-speed network with full internet access for your research and coursework needs. The LRC stocks a wide range of learning materials; books, videos and DVDs and subscribes to a range of newspapers and magazines. These resources and facilities are being expanded all the time to cater for your research and independent study needs. Help from experts is always on hand to deal with individual queries and problems. In addition to the LRC, there are also computer suites throughout the college, allowing you to access IT facilities whenever you need them. Study rooms are also located in most departments across the college.

Our enrichment offer changes every year. Our College Council, sports co-ordinators and youth support team respond to student interests. Every year the college seeks to develop new activities to meet the needs and interests of our students and our philosophy is that we seek to facilitate what you are into.
Helping you to learn
In addition to well-appointed and resourced subject rooms, students can access other facilities across the college to support their learning. Discussing your progress
In October the Principal and Senior Management Team are delighted to welcome all new parents to the college for an evening of information and discussion. The New Parents Evening provides an interesting and valuable opportunity to discuss;
Feedback about your son or daughter's experience of their first half-term
Any feedback or queries parents may have.
An opportunity to give us feedback about how any of our processes could be improved.
Each student works jointly with his or her teachers or personal tutor to regularly monitor progress against target grades for each course being studied. Whilst parents and students can discuss progress with tutors at any stage during the year, there are two Parents' evenings which include the discussion of a written progress report. These parents' evenings will take place in November and April.
