For business you will study a range of units, covering:

Unit 2. Business Organisations

Unit 3. Financial Forecasting for Business

Unit 4. People in Organisations

Unit 5. The Marketing Plan

Unit 6. Verbal and non-verbal communication in business contexts
Unit 7. Business communications through documents
Unit 10. Customer relations in Business
Unit 11. Business online

 
 
Teaching styles
Learning takes place through a variety of teaching methods e.g. teacher-led sessions. Students will produce individual projects and assignments involving their own research and therefore need to work on their own account. Regular homework will be a feature of this course.
 
Assessment
Students will be assessed by a portfolio assignment for each unit in addition to class work.
 
Subject combinations
Any other vocational level 2 subjects.  This subject is often taken alongside GCSE English Language and/or Mathematics.

Key features
Students will be offered additional workshops to develop their portfolios and improve their literacy skills.

5 GCSEs grade D or 3s or above, or equivalent, including English Language plus Maths (or equivalent)

 

Equivalent to
The Certificate is equivalent to 1 GCSE at Grade C and the Diploma is equivalent to 3 GCSEs.
