Business: BTEC Level 2

Course outline
For business you will study a range of units, covering:

 

1. Enterprise in the Business World

2. Finance

3. Marketing

4. Small business planning

5. Project management

 
 
Teaching styles
Learning takes place through a variety of teaching methods e.g. teacher-led sessions. Students will produce individual projects and assignments involving their own research and therefore need to work on their own account. Regular homework will be a feature of this course.
 
Assessment
Students will be assessed by a portfolio assignment for each unit in addition to class work.
 
Subject combinations
Any other vocational level 2 subjects.  This subject is often taken alongside GCSE English Language and/or Mathematics.

Key features
Students will be offered additional workshops to develop their portfolios and improve their literacy skills.
 
Progression
Students can progress onto further education on vocational based courses.
 
Entry requirements

5 GCSEs grade D or above, or PASS at level 1 Diploma, including English Language plus Maths (or equivalent)
