Around 30 level 2 and level 3 students were involved in Yellow Day, to support Loros raising £230.97. This was organised through the Study Pus team recruiting helpers during Study Plus sessions. Students and staff were encouraged to wear yellow and donate towards National Hospice Care Week. Ribbons were sold for those who wanted that extra splash of yellow alongside cakes. A competition was held to guess the number of sweets in the jar. The prize was won by a student who guessed the closest to 467 sweets.
Also fundraising for Loros, the staff members had their cars washed and gleaming by four students taking part in NCS; Bilal Ebrahim, Ali Syed, Nizamul Islam, Muhammad Umarji and two student volunteers; Melike Ozhot and Elif Nas. These students raised £102.00 by washing 14 cars and donations.
An additional £95.10 was collected by a cake sale and other donations. This made the grand total £428.07!
